Kim Bird

 

Kim Bird obtained a Diploma in Children’s Nursing at the College of Chester in 2003. She started her career as a qualified nurse on an acute medical paediatric ward at Manchester Children’s Hospital, she then moved to Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust, to work on the Oncology Unit in 2005. In 2006 Kim went to work at Bolton Hospital as a children’s community respiratory nurse specialist, at this time she completed her Degree in Children’s Nursing through the RCN, accredited by Manchester University. Kim returned to the Oncology Unit at Alder Hey in 2007 and joined the ADRIC team in April 2008.

Kim obtained a studentship, to undertake a PhD, through the University of Central Lancashire in September 2008.
